These figures are from our last update, and you can see the date it ran on the updates page.
Paperbacks you have not opened in years, the heavy art books you keep for the spines, and the plant that needs the light from the window. Four tiers of brown arching frame give you separate floors for each category, so the shelf does not become a single cluttered ledge. You decide what lives at eye level and what rests above your head.
You will unpack the flat pack in the room where it stands, levelling the frame before you anchor it to the wall. The sheet numbers every step, and the hardware carries matching marks, so you are not hunting for which bolt fits which hole. A second pair of hands makes the early stages faster, though one person can manage once the first tier is square.
Anything here that stands on the floor with drawers, doors or shelves belongs anchored to the wall. The consumer safety commission launched its anchoring campaign in 2015 and reported ten years later that tip-over injuries and deaths had fallen by nearly half; the instruction behind that number is the one sentence above. An anchoring kit ships in the carton, the job takes about ten minutes with a drill and a stud finder, and it is the last step of the build rather than an optional extra.
