Collection 08
Sofas & Living Room
The Shintenchi boneless couches arrive compressed and take their shape over a day, which is the only way a hundred-and-three-inch sofa gets up a stairwell. The lift-top coffee tables raise to laptop height and hide what was on the floor, and the U-shaped sectionals can be handed left or right after you have lived with the room a week.
5 pieces in this collection. Every card leads with the height and the tier or drawer count.

1 piecesAnything here that stands on the floor with drawers, doors or shelves belongs anchored to the wall. The consumer safety commission launched its anchoring campaign in 2015 and reported ten years later that tip-over injuries and deaths had fallen by nearly half; the instruction behind that number is the one sentence above. An anchoring kit ships in the carton, the job takes about ten minutes with a drill and a stud finder, and it is the last step of the build rather than an optional extra. The guidance behind that, with the date we read it, sits on our updates page.
The rest of inside
Everything here is measured against a wall, a doorway or a stud, and lives where the floor is level and the light is yours to choose.
