Six tiers give you the height to file a year of magazines upright or lay art books flat without stacking, and the black frame keeps the visual weight low enough that the wall behind still reads as space. You decide the room before you open the carton, because this builds where it stands.
After the build, the frame settles on carpet or tile while you check the wall brackets sit flush. The Allen key lives in the carton until you need it again, which is when you move or when the seasons shift and you reload the shelves.
Anything here that stands on the floor with drawers, doors or shelves belongs anchored to the wall. The consumer safety commission launched its anchoring campaign in 2015 and reported ten years later that tip-over injuries and deaths had fallen by nearly half; the instruction behind that number is the one sentence above. An anchoring kit ships in the carton, the job takes about ten minutes with a drill and a stud finder, and it is the last step of the build rather than an optional extra.
