These figures are from our last update, and you can see the date it ran on the updates page.
Black stands against pale plaster or timber floors without demanding attention, letting the spines and objects you place there become the event. At 70.6 inches it clears most chair rails and doorframes while giving you six tiers at roughly eleven inches each, enough for trade paperbacks standing upright or baskets filled loose. The wall behind becomes part of the piece once you level the frame and fix it in place, fittings and numbered steps waiting in the carton.
You build this where it will stay, the flat pack unfolding in the room rather than through a narrow stair. The finish wipes with a cloth dampened in warm water; no grain to raise, no oil to renew. Dust settles visible on black, which is honest, and lifts off the same way.
Anything here that stands on the floor with drawers, doors or shelves belongs anchored to the wall. The consumer safety commission launched its anchoring campaign in 2015 and reported ten years later that tip-over injuries and deaths had fallen by nearly half; the instruction behind that number is the one sentence above. An anchoring kit ships in the carton, the job takes about ten minutes with a drill and a stud finder, and it is the last step of the build rather than an optional extra.
