You will need a level slab, compacted gravel bed or poured concrete pad beneath this 12x20 ft shelter. The span covers two vehicles end to end, or one with storage space to spare. Grass or soft ground will not hold the frame.

Anchor the legs to your prepared surface before you tension the cover or park anything beneath it. The structure depends on that connection to stay square through wind and weather. It is not ready for use until the bolts are set.
