This white cabinet lives in kitchens, pantries or utility rooms where you need closed storage against a wall you can drill into. It stands on the floor, and the carton includes the fittings to anchor it once you have levelled it and before you load anything inside.
You assemble this flat pack in the room it will occupy, so carry the carton through the doorway first and check you have floor space to lay out the panels. The steps are numbered on our sheet, and the anchor fittings are already in the box, which means you do not need to make a separate trip for hardware before you begin.
Anything here that stands on the floor with drawers, doors or shelves belongs anchored to the wall. The consumer safety commission launched its anchoring campaign in 2015 and reported ten years later that tip-over injuries and deaths had fallen by nearly half; the instruction behind that number is the one sentence above. An anchoring kit ships in the carton, the job takes about ten minutes with a drill and a stud finder, and it is the last step of the build rather than an optional extra.
